The surface of silver can tarnish naturally due to the exposure to oxygen. You can clean it in warm soapy water or use silver polish to shine it up nicely if you notice it looking a little dull. Try to take your jewellery off when washing and avoid contact with bleach. To keep the plastic element of your Bar Necklace-White in good condition avoid contact with heat and wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Gold Plated Sterling Silver
Gold plating can wear off or fade over time, however all of our jewellery is plated with a durable coating of 5 microns. If your jewellery is taken care of, it should remain intact for 4-7 years without wearing away. Avoid showering, applying perfume and cosmetics whilst wearing gold plated jewellery and do not expose to chlorine. To clean or polish your gold plated sterling silver jewellery, wipe with a soft non abrasive polishing cloth. It is also advisable to keep gold plated pieces away form other pieces of jewellery to avoid scratching etc.
