A simple silver bangle that is designed to take on the aesthetic of a torn piece of paper. When experimenting with the material, Laura became fascinated with the moment it transitioned from being a 2D sheet into a 3D object. Focusing on the natural tendency it has to curl when torn.
Laura then translated this into sheet silver, which shares the same thickness of paper, yet its strength allows the curve to remain in place.
One edge of this bangle is straight and the other is etched, reminiscent of the torn edge of a piece of paper. At each side there is a slight twist to give the bangle a subtle asymmetric quality.
Materials: Sterling silver 925 or 23.7ct hard gold plated sterling silver
Dimensions: Thickest part of bangle is 15mm and the diameter is 65mm (adjustable)
